Course Overview
With IPL Certification Training, you’ll gain enhanced skills to:

This 4-day course prepares participants to work as effective organizational catalysts of high performance and human flourishing. Participants will explore:
- Philosophical foundations and goals of the IPL approach
- IPL perspectives on organizational design and leadership history
- IPL approaches to coaching, internal consultation, change management, conflict and complexity navigation
- Original organizational development concepts from the book The Merlin Advantage: Rediscovering the Leader’s Greatest Ally
Travel and Lodging
- Training is usually scheduled between August and October.
- Participants usually fly into and out of Roberts Field Airport in Redmond, OR (RDX)
- Training is held in Bend, OR. This will require an initial 30-minute ride from the Airport in Redmond to Bend. Bend has a variety of lodging options. The hotel closest to the training location is:

- There are plenty of Lyft and Uber options to get to the training location from your hotel. Ambassador program participants may have transportation available from Seth Elliott Consulting.
- Meals will be on your own, except for Friday night of training which will include a team dinner provided for participants. Snacks and drinks will be provided during training.
Classroom
- Classes usually begin at 8:30 AM and conclude at 4:30 PM during your scheduled training week. Some sessions may go as late as 8 PM due to the trip to Wizard Island.
- Classes are almost entirely lecture based (with lots of breaks and application activities). Participants will be provided with a workbook that accompanies the course slide deck. Participants should bring note taking options such as pen and paper or a device like a laptop or tablet. Training locations will have wi-fi connections.
- Video and audio recording of the sessions is prohibited.
- Clean, comfortable attire is recommended for this training.
- Temperatures can vary greatly in Central Oregon, ranging from the 20’s at night to the upper 90’s during the day in the summer.
Trip to Wizard Island
On day three of training, the class will travel 90 minutes to Crater Lake National Park to visit Wizard Island. Group transportation is provided. Participants can arrange their own travel if they prefer, but must arrange and pay for this on their own. Meals at Crater Lake are the responsibility of each participant.

***Health and Safety***
Class schedules and health protocols are subject to change. Seth Elliott Consulting will operate according to state, local, and federal health protocols. Protocols may include, but are not limited to, hand sanitization and hand washing, wearing of masks, and social distancing. Participants with Covid-19 or other contagious illness symptoms, direct exposures, or positive tests will not be allowed to continue training. Seth Elliott Consulting will work with anyone having to cancel due to health concerns for a maximum possible refund or rescheduling to another training date.
The Pacific Northwest, including some of our training areas are home to rattlesnakes, mountain lions, wolves, and bears. Participants are advised to follow instructor directions.
Cost of Program: $3900.00 USD per participant, plus travel expenses.
